When I'm using explorer and I try to go to this page I get a message saying "1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax near...etc"

What the hell does that mean?

I'm using netscape right now and it's fine.

there is a problem calling the sql database. i think something is terribly wrong with the code for for this site, unfortunately im not clever enough with database programming to figure out what it is.

    Hey Guys,

What are you talking about? "The last page of a thread"? In the forums?

The forum code works just fine. Are you talking about comments? That is the only code that I changed in the last couple of days.

i think it has always been a little buggy clay, there have been problems off and on since ive been here. i wish i knew more about that stuff ...
then there are the javascript issues for mac users too.
but dont sweat it, dont really matter all dat much. you work yer ass off as it is.

    Buggy.. hmm.

Everything seems to work fine from my end, and this is the first I have heard of any code problems.

The 404 errors in the last few days are due to the site being shut down by our hosts off and on .. as I explained in this thread:

    http://www.gigposters.com/phpBB/view...c=1032&forum=6

If there are any other problems.. anything.. please post them in the problems forum in detail, and I will definately look into them.

It should work the same on a Mac .. as long as you are using IE 5+ or Netscape 6+, it should be bulletproof.

    ok...when it says "view page 1, 2,3.....72"
so i click on the "72" & i get a 404 error, page cannot be displayed....then i hit back, & (i guess) because all yr pages update so often & it takes 2 backs to get to the last page if you been sittin on this one a while...
the first back click takes me to the page i was headed for...
    make sense?
(been recording & drinkin since wakin, i go eat & clean up now)(big party tonight what i gotta play at- hmm)

OK .. now can you tell me what browser / version you are using, as well as the platform? (pc or mac).

I need to know this, because it works perfectly for me with a PC running IE 6 or Netscape 6 or Mozilla 0.9.8 (all of the most current browsers)

Oh yeah .. and the reason that you have to press the back button twice sometimes is because of the rotating banner advertisments. Every 60 seconds, the banner ads switch (rotate). Therefore, if you have been on the same page for a long time .. when you hit the back button, you are actually going back to a previous banner ad.

It has always been this way .. and I really don't know any way around it (except for turning off the rotating thing - but the advertisers seem to like it)
