i think its working nicely for me, though i hope its ok we don't all have actual photos of ourselves. like mine for instant, i'm actually a rather light shade of blue, not green. dude, i wish i was this green! man, the ladies, they'd come a runnin.
but as they say, life ain't always peaches and sunny rocks for me to bask on. sometimes, you just gotta tuck your head inside your thickly armored shell and keep truckin. |

Clay, I saw that you fixed it so that my avatar appeared on the Edit Profile, but I uploaded a new one in its stead, and though it said the upload was successful, I get a "no image" box, even after loggin in & out, refreshing, etc.

SO .. I fixed it .. here's how I did it.. I opened up your file (8kb) in Paint Shop Pro .. and resaved it as a jpg. Now its 1.7kb and works. I'm still trying to understand jpg's .. I know that there are different types of encoding, but I'm not an expert. Anyone on here know anything about this? |

It's probably a matter of compression -- Photoshop allows you to save jpegs at different levels of compression. More compression=smaller file, lower res; Less compression=larger file, higher res. I'm not sure what the cutoff is, but if the jpegs aren't compressed enough, the browser won't display them. You'll just get a red "X," though the same file can be opened in Photoshop again with no problems.
