Default What is the Gig Posters policy for...

...submitting multiple versions of the "same" poster? I've seen a few examples on this site of people posting more than one version of the same design/idea, say, a black and white and a coloured version, or different pieces of a varied edition. But, whenever I try to do this myself, submit two versions, only one of the two gets approved.

Just for future refrence what is the actual policy? If I want two versions posted, should I combine them in the same image file? Just live with only one version being shown here? Is it basically a case-by-case descision?

The next poster I want to submit has several variations, which is why I ask.

If they're color variations you're best off making one file showing the different colors.. I may be wrong but clay only allows one designer one poster per show.
    did you just say awesome?

Yeah that's fine and makes sense BUT there are several examples of different version on the site. For example:

    http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?poster=20843
    and
    http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?poster=21622

I have submitted variations along those lines which didn't get approved. As well as:

    Xerox/Screened versions of same poster:
    http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?poster=40997
    http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?poster=41091

    Positive/Negitive versions of same poster:
    http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?poster=38922
    http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?poster=38924

The current poster I want to submit is more of a varied edition, I did a bunch of b/w photocopies on coloured paper and hand cut & pasted them together to make several unique versions.

In theory they are similar to:
    http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?poster=19306
    http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?poster=43567

So, is it case by case? What's the deal?

Also, I wanted to say, I am seriously not complaining (and all of those posters above rule so much!). I just want to know for future poster submitting. Whatever the rules are stated as I will fully think is cool, but there's just mixed messages...

while there are some up here, clay has said in the past that you should only submit one.

    (99% sure on this)

Correct. I do not approve multiple variations of the same design for a poster for the same date from the same designer. If they are totally different designs for the same show .. thats ok. But otherwise .. no. Sometimes every poster is unique (different colored ink, paper, etc). I don't want 10 different variations of the same poster on the site for the same bands on the same date. Feel free to lay 'em all out on the floor, take a picture of them all together etc. I like that.

    Example:
