shipping charges and classifieds

Some classifieds buyers overseas have told me that they can't add in the extra shipping charges that I specify in the "shipping information" section of my listings.

Can someone explain what I or they are doing wrong?

I had that problem, but as long as we have the address we can just send the money as usual. It isn't just a push of a button, but it aint rocket science.....hell, even i managed it.

Yeah, it seems like a lot of people have no problem, or at least don't tell me if they do. I just thought they would have the option of adding the xtra shipping charges through the transaction that Clay has set up. But I guess not.

As far as I know .. I don't think thats possible with PayPal. If I were you, I would put in the shipping information field:

International - please email for a quote.

Thats what I do. Shipping to Australia, UK, Russia, South America ... are all different costs .. Canada and the US are usually the same price to ship.

That's been working well for me. The thing I have run into a couple times is people not reading, and neglecting the shipping altogether, BUT they have always promptly sent the added dough. So...

Couldn't you add the additional shipping to the base price?
