yep...i posted a thread about it, and right after i posted the thread; POOF the site is runnin smooth again....

so i deleted my thread.

Hmm .. weird. I just got home .. its working fine. I had a few people email me about this.. but I just looked at the logs .. and the server was up and running ok the whole time. There was traffic too .. so it appears that some people could not see the server and others could.

It is possible that a switch or a router or a gateway or something was down .. but the server was up and running fine....

It was brutaly slow for a while today. Yesterday I couldn't see the site at all from about noon till around 10pm.

The problem was that Ev1servers.net (formerly Rackshack) were performing maintenance. Here's more info:

Reason: Metro Fiber Ring Maintenance
Benefit: Improved Network Performance

Our local loop provider will be performing continued maintenance on their metro fiber ring.

Traffic will be re-routed during the window; you may experience latency as the routes re-converge.

We will monitor the traffic and continue to re-route if necessary.

The server appears to be accessible to all again now.
