Default recreating a stencil to continue a run

i've spent the last hour or so reading thru old threads to see if i could find this answered somewhere before, but most them seem to be about variations in a run, AP's, renumbering, etc. so i thought i would put this out there and see if someone could help...

is a 'run' considedered only what is done out of the original screen? once the screen is gone is it acceptable to redoing a screen in order to print more if the prints are numbered that way?

example: you need x number of prints, but after the screen has been reclaimed you realize that you only have 30 decent prints. is it ethical to number the first 30 prints 1/50 and then go back later and do the remaining 20 starting numbering them at 31/50?

and in this case the items are not going for sale, only handing them out to some people i worked with. probably don't need to be numbered, but wanted them to feel special.

It all comes down to intent. If you intend to have 50 good prints and you have 25 then you can make another 25. Just so long as you haven't already numbered them out of 25.
