I have never/very-rarely had the luxury of holding onto stencils due to them being hired as part of a session in someone elses studio... that'll change I'm sure, but yeah I agree about satisfying the client first.
I'd have no problem reshooting and finishing the run properly if those glitchprints were going to be scrapped (or join the test print pile)... I personally think it would only be dodgy if you began reprinting after you'd numbered or sold some of the initial pieces.
