Default Sharpie!

Hey artists! I'm an intern at Sanford Brands - makers of products including Prismacolor, EXPO and Sharpie.

Does anyone here use Sharpies in their work?

I'd like to bring something new to the table and write about a few artists and submit their work onto the Sharpie website: Sharpie® Uncapped

Let me know! Thanks for the help

I use sharpies extensively in my work. Especially in my paintings. I used to use them to do my line drawings and then would work to cover those lines with paint. I find it difficult as Sharpies tend to bleed back through the acrylic paint. So, I decided to start incorporating that effect into my pieces. it works nicely.

I also use Sharpies in my illustration work. Some pieces require a heavy non finished line so I use Sharpies for that. As well as for filling larger black spaces on other more detailed work.

My pencil box/painting table is never, ever without a Sharpie.

About 80% of my non-computer work is Sharpie, including a comic strip I ran for two years.

Sharpie really couldn't ask for a better endorsement of their products than from Kozik.

I think Al Sharpton could be a publicity coup.
