(Glows in the dark)
got hold an audience recording of one of the russian shows last night. Sounded fuckin fantastic (performance wise), really really hope they make it down this end of the world. Was pretty hilarious hearing dudes with thick russian accents singing along surprisingly well.
so, what was the deal with this series and how the artists got paid? is it some big secret or what? i'm just curious, because it's been alluded to but never explained.
i would hope that FNM paid everyone involved and didn't get free merch.
because pay to play is for suckers, and that's why i don't do many posters for portland venues. they don't pay like the folks back in NC. i had it good there, and i miss that.
that second album of the stone roses blew chunks

I did a poster for Moss and the Melvins. I gave them thier cut of the posters. I watched a line form all the way out the bar and into the front of the club. The posters sold out in like, 20 minutes. I, myself have never really offered that poster for sale. The Melvins made a pretty chunk of change that evening. Good for them.
