Graphic Design: A New History

I picked up Graphic Design: A New History by Stephen F. Eskilson a few weeks ago, and have meant to post this ever since.

I've just skimmed it mostly so far, but it looks like a nice companion, but not likely replacement, to Meggs' History of Graphic Design.


WTG Chantry. I'd be surprised if you weren't included in some way or another.

Awesome, indeed. The library actually just picked that one up... I think I'll grab it. Is Meggs pretty much the graphic design history book then?

i saw that. pretty flattering to be included. but, it's european, that means it has it's own peculiar bias toward the continent and against american design history. but, so what? it's all crap, anyway.

after reading what the guy wrote, i don't think he's seen any of my work beyond the pieces he reproduced. it's pretty ignorant.
