Is it helpful for some of you to see the album art? We wanted something more abstract than the last few we've done together - rather than an attempt at a kind of unconventional psychedelia. I think that's where he's coming from. Obviously, perfectly intrepreting a band's look is next to impossible (even if, and sometimes when) you are the actual band - I get it wrong ALL of the time, but this is a theme Mark talks about a lot. I commissioned Ed Fotheringham to do a massive painting but then I ended up only using a square couple of inches of it. Don't mean to stick my nose in where it's not wanted but maybe this is helpful to see. ?

i can not wait to buy this album, the recent mudhoney stuff is the best stuff they have ever recorded.
