it looks like he tried to use that in the beginning and then just decided to glob masking tape all over it.

i'm gonna take some pics. right now they're at a real framer who's trying to salvage them. he called it a "criminal act", haha. he's kinda right though. i should've gone to this guy in the first place. you live and you learn.

Sorry to hear that dude. I had a poster wind up getting drymounted once. It looks great, and as long as I don't intend to sell it I suppose it doesn't matter. But as a collectible it is ruined.

Then, get an affidavit as to their value from the "good" framer or two and possibly from dealers as to their value if you want to pursue legal action.

I went to remove an old Shag print from an "archival standard" framing job over the weekend to find out it had been drymounted and that the mat boards had also been drymounted to the front of the print! My plans to unload it on ebay were suddenly dashed.
