I saw the Decoder Ring Horkey print in person last night (along with every other print the Decoder Ring has collaborated on). It's crazy how perfect that stuff is.

If anyone is looking for a Japan edition, I was at Giant Robot SF today and they had one that appeared to be unsold - $500.

Ltd. Edition Art Print prices are never cut and dried. Its simplistic in the extreme to say just because prints are selling out, the initial price should go up. or that somehow the people buying or selling are wrong for making a buck. that's life in this dog eat catfood world.

Talk to any artist/printer/publisher - for every successful print, there are 20 sitting in a pile costing them money. for every artist actually making a living/bucks off their art, there are 2000 that never do. its luck and talent and timing. it may not be right, but it is the way it is.

you people need to get out more.

or support the lesser known people on their way up. I still think (after printing 'fine art' ltd editions for over 20 yrs) the best print art in the world now is being made by many of the GP crowd, and the prices are redicuously low.
