    I am going to do a horrible job of asking this question, but let me try.. Doesn't the pressure of the frame springs cause the area that has the spacers to be a tiny bit indented on the print?

    I don't know, never pulled one apart.

    The pressure is distributed by the matboard. Besides, it's on the very edge of the print, not on the image. I'm not worried about it.

    yeah i ususally don't use any adhesive or corners- the pressure between the mat and backing usually keep it in place.
