Im not talking KOZIK, GRIFFIN, COOP, etc. Theres a lot of new guys that have come out in the last few years...Forbes, GIANT, Jermaine Rogers, Almera, etc. Who do you think is the best of the new crop? I like GIANT, myself :^)

CMON! Hess is cool, but Jaeger is pathetic. Its messy artwork and the drawing isnt even good! How can you put a master like Hess in the same category with a guy who needs to go to art school? I prefer the Print Mafia anyway.

Yeah, I agree, Jaeger has a lot of messy posters. But, he does have a few that are outstanding, and he seems to be getting better with time.

Now, Derek Hess' latest works look a little uninspired. Everything he has done this year so far( Clutch, Converge, Zao) all use that loose draw style that I hate. Hopefully he will get back into the style he was doing 1994-1997.

lots of great artists out there.. i wont be partial, as i represent the printmafia ewing and cardoso exclusively..

but goddamn.. there are great things out there.. great designers some names we all know (jermaine).. and some kid in a garage doing a poster for the first time...

also, dont forget mark ryden.. his stuff is the s%it!! he did some cool stuff for the red hot chili peppers.. the image is way cool

Allen Jaeger is hardly pathetic. Thats the great thing about art I guess...it's all subjective. Saying that anyones art is pathetic is pretty pathetic.

On the subject of new artists
Brian Ewing is doing some pretty good work.

Yeah...calling Jaegers work 'pathetic' is pretty harsh. But, I must agree and admit that he really doesn't draw that well. I looked at some Ewing stuff on this site: not bad. Id have to say that I like Forbes and Jermaine stuff the best, out of the new guys. And saying COOP isn't relevant...my god!

what i do find funny, is that people give a very strong opinion, but can't say who they are.... that is strange....

alan jaeger has some very cool stuff and to handpull over 10 colours alone is not easy.. on top of that, the quality is great and the bands who he does them for love them! can't even say that about some posters by the "big" artists...

"Print Mafia" sucks... It takes more than a goofy name to become a great poster artist!

out....
