What's the best way to put up the posters? I am sure tape holds better, but it sure screws them up when you are trying to snag one for your personal collection... are there any other alternatives?

Depends on what you want. If you want a poster to stay up a very long time, wheatpaste is the best. If you are in a place with lot's of wooden poles, having a nice staple gun and stapling them is the fastest, tape is friendly for people grabbing them for thier collection, but takes much longer than statples.

When I want a poster to stay I use 3M adhesive spray or I print on self-adhesive paper.

I worked in warehouse so the I stole the 3M, and UPS will send you thousands of sheets of adhesive paper if you order it. If you have a UPS account # they will send it to you for free to use as package labels.

I like when people put the tape right on the edges of the poster...around the border. That way, when I pull them down, I can neatly clip the edges.
