Well, if you're looking on ebay to buy Nashville Pussy items, it just got a little harder to find them.... apparently ebay has decided (in their infinite wisdom) that the word Pussy is vulgar. *gasp, shock*
Several poster dealers have been warned about it, including our gallery. Do ya think everyone will know to do their search for Nashville P*ssy? lol Does it make any difference that the name is registered, trademarked, & sold in record stores across the nation to people of ALL ages? Nope. Nitwits.

it's like when their album "let them eat..."
came out a few years ago, even though it was on Amphetamine, the CD version had a silver mylar wrapper on the cover to hide teh "vulgar" art...though my vinyl version of it came unwrapped. |

The funny thing is, Nolen, (I forgot to mention) is that it appears only POSTER dealers are being targeted.... the albums are still up and running with titles like "Nashville Pussy, Let them eat pussy".
Makes me wonder if some parent has made the poster dealers the target of a campaign of some sort. We think someone may have sold an underage kid a NP poster and that the parents are doing searches for NP poster specifically. Wonder if I can convince Ruyter to change the name to Nashville Pussycat? lol!!

I think the reason your posters are being targeted is because "scummy" poster dealers are reporting your auctions to ebay. They do this to eliminate competition. Some poster artist also do this. It sucks but there is nothing you can really do about it.

geneswig, we try not to think that other poster artists or dealers would be such colossal @sses, but we have considered that scenario as well.
I know of 4 other poster dealers besides us who have received the same warning, so I'm tending to lean towards my first theory a bit more than it being other dealers. BTW, it really does suck if the only way someone can make any money is by turning in the competition so as to narrow the field. Anyone who does this must not think very highly of the product they are selling if they feel the need to eliminate other sellers in the same category. And that is rampant in ALL categories... you should read some of the cat fights on the ebay message boards about cookie recipes and craft jars... lol! JMO

i don't get it. wouldn't other poster dealers just be screwin' themselves over? so you can't sell nashville pussy posters so that means they cam't either right??

That's *why* I believe it is a parent.
But there is something you have to understand about how ebay operates (if you don't know this already).... Ebay only polices auctions that are TURNED IN by other users. Even if there are 30 Nashville Pussy items running, they will only end the auctions that someone actually took the time to send in the auction #'s on to safeharbor. And there are lots of other things that a seller can be turned in for that would be eliminating the competition without harming themselves, like keyword spamming, links to a web site, etc. Sad, but it does happen.

There is a HUGE poster market on ebay. Why wouldn't I sell there? It's all good!!

And I also sell clothing and other items, so it isn't just posters.... but it is all new stuff.
It's a great market for reaching people who would otherwise never ever see your art or merchandise. :evil<<< seeing if this works
