Default my first poster ... unleash the critique

i got my uncles name for christmas this year and since he's a local musician, i thought i'd take a shot at a generic gig poster for him to use to promote his upcoming shows. i had big aspirations for this, but really only had a couple nights to work on it so kept it fairly simple. it's composed of 3 separate images and i used the farm imagery because he lived in iowa for many years and often plays alt-country music at his shows. be gentle, i'm a graphic designer by day but i'm new to this.

The text looks like it was drawn with a mouse. Ink it by hand, scan and place.

If this were to be screen-printed it'd be like 6 colors. I'd recommend beginners stay in the 2-3 range.

As a postcard, it could work with only a few adjustments. But as a gig poster, you may want to try something else.
