I was pretty much expecting this response! I have just got desperate as I should really be moving on with this essay, to be honest my main worry is being able to write a decent essay. Our tutor explained that we would need to write about a particular form of art with a lot of good text references, however I found that screenprinting advertising was very narrow and it has became difficult to find many artists with good text on them. It is all about the art, but to be critical in my own words would not justify a dissertation, I would need some evidence other than my own opinion of the work.

I would reckon any artist on this site, whose work you enjoy, would be more than willing to answer your questions in a private message, they are a very friendly bunch. Many of the artists here work within a certain niche, whether it's the type of shows they take on, the imagery they frequently use, their method of creation (all by hand, on the computer, inking and scanning, making collages of old clip art, ect), so it may be easier to explore the posters of one genre of music you are interested in or one type of poster making.
