"Kinda looks like a SkatRadioh rip." - Johnny Sampson on Jay Ryan
Thanks yall. I rushed the writeup. Like I mentioned earlier.. if yall got questions, please ask and I'll try my best to answer them.
I really don't like matted prints. Float them.
i like to float my prints too...DOWN THE RIVER!!
Very helpful tutorial! I didn't realize that frame pieces were available separately like that. That is very nice to know, as I plan to be framing a lot of things in the future!
these all come in 1" increments, but i've used them in the past and they look good and are easy to put together:
Nielsen Metal Frame Sections Matte Black Style 11 - BLICK art materials
If you have access to a table saw you can easily make your own "L" profile sticks for framing. Added bonus if you have a chop saw as well. I banged out 30 frames in a couple days. I used band clamps and glue to for attaching.
This is my next goal.. to make my own frames. It'll cut my costs down alot too.
I like to float some of my posters as well.. I only frame the ones I want to protect from people who like to touch posters with their greasy hands..
Heres a few floaters of mine... clips are from Target in the Home Improvement section..
