    Default 3 color poster pricing

    Hey there everyone,

So I am typically a garment printer however I have a customer that needs to get some posters printed and his designs are exactly the type that we actually enjoy printing. My question to all of you is what would you charge for 250 3 color posters - not including the cost of the paper. Do you charge a set up fee? (we typically charge $25 for the first color and $20 for each there after). If i were to simply turn my garment printing prices onto the paper printing prices I would be charging $2.05 per poster with a $65.00 set up fee.
However, because of air drying I know that poster printing could be a fair amount more time consuming. (also we will be selling to a wholesaler). Any advice or comparable pricing would be much appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the guide, I have read it and have searched the forums for an answer to my question. Do you by any chance have a link to a previous post that answers my question about pricing - or suggestions of your own. I am not new to screen printing nor am I new to forums - just this one and this particular style and want to make sure that my pricing is fair for all parties involved. I understand that EVERYONE in every industry has their own pricing structure (and that some are radically different than others) which is why I am asking for any sort of guidance.
We are not designing these posters, simply printing them.
    Thank you

I charge $70.00 per screen, this includes an imagesetter film positive, coating, burning and reclaiming of the screen.
Then its $1.50 per pull (3 color = 3 pulls = $4.50 per print) on a 250 run the setup/ makeready would be absorbed in the printing charge. Ink is usually included unless its very heavy coverage. This would be for a poster 11 x 17 - 20 x 26. Larger sizes are more.
My favorite paper is Strathmore wove cover 110lb. very stable for both size and flatness, and has a great toothy finish.
Kelly Paper sells this as parent sheets.
