    Default flattening posters?

Does anyone have a trick for flattening out prints that have been rolled up and shipped through the mail? I'm hoping someone will be able to shed some light on some technique i don't know about to uncurl my new prints without damaging them.

You could roll them up in the opposite way they were originally rolled... or put some big ol' books on 'em for a while. Do people still have books?

Go to expressobeans.com and search around. Lots of talk about this.

Put 'em in a flatfile drawer with books on top. Face down so if a corner pops up you don't fuck it up opening a drawer. Then wait a few weeks or months.

I take them out of the tube and just stand the print up on it's side. The curl of the paper keeps it up. I leave it this way for a few days , and it allows the paper to acclimate, and slowly relax.

For some prints, I will put them in a flat box (bascially between two peices of cardboard).

For the most part, I just leave them in the tube until I'm ready to frame.

4 pint glasses on each of the corners works pretty well.

Rent a steam roller. Maybe go in with a friend to save some money.

turn the shower on hot, let it run for a few minutes. put the poster on a hanger and place it on a hook in the bathroom. the steam should flatten it in a couple of minutes. i do this all the time with suits when i check into a hotel. gets the wrinkles right out. i'm sure it would work with posters too.

Just put a Nook on one end and your Kindle on the other.
