Nadine and I just finished up this crazy collaborative poster for an animation festival here in Chicago called Eyeworks. The festival focuses on experimental animation and the organizers are brilliant! Artists, Lilli Carre and Alexander Stewart, are the folks behind the event and after some awesome brainstorming, we all came up with the idea of an animated screen printed poster to help promote the fest in real life and on the web. We based the whole thing around Lilli's awesome biker/projector drawing. Basically, while printing the edition of 200 posters we made slight changes in registration, used split fountains, and taped off sections of the image to create this crazy ass thing. The biker/projector illustration was made by splitting the edition into 1/4ths and printing a slightly different versions of the guy in each. The prints were then collated to make him move! Lilli and Alexander shot the frames and put together the animation. Enjoy
