Default When to show up with posters....

So, this is a pretty random and specific question, but i'm a noob for the most part.

I have a couple shows coming up that i've been in contact with bands and I'm printing their silkscreen posters for the shows merch table. Sort of a strange question, but when do you guys normally show up at the venue with your posters? At doors, or maybe an hour or two before doors?

Up until this point, i've only done one poster for Stephen Malkmus and the Jick, and I just showed up at the venue about an hour before doors and said "I have posters for the merch table" and they just let me in, is this what most people do?

Sorry for the really naive sounding question, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

    Thanks again guys!

Have you asked the bands that you are working with when you should show up? I would try there first.

if doors are at 9, I usually show up about 8:30. at a half hour, they are mostly set up. 2 hours before, they are usually either at dinner or getting stoned in the van.

Ask the band. If venue is taking % from merch sales the posters may need to be counted in.
If you aren't able to get a time from band I'd show up an hour before doors.

This is what we do as well ... then it gives you time to get dinner before the show yourself.
