Default Cougar #80 or #100 cover? (rolling posters...)

I just found out I can get cougar opaque from my local Kelly Paper for pretty cheap after seeing everyone rave about it, so I did a few tests on both the #80 and #100 cover stock. The problem is, the 100 pound cover seems nice because of the thickness, but when I roll it up, it tends to have these subtle horizontal creases where the #80 doesn't.

For the people that use Cougar Opaque, do you use the #80 or #100 cover? If you use the #100, have you experienced any problems rolling posters to fit in tubes, or to put rubber bands around?

    Thanks!

i usually use #100 but had to use #80 in a pinch last weekend. it was fine, a little more delicate but overall no problems with the print and it does seem to roll better.

I still just bought another 700 sheets of the 100# so i'll be keeping up with that for a couple weeks...

#100 rolls fine, you just cant get all aggro olling it, gotta let it breathe.

Make sure you're not rolling against the grain as well. That will really F it up.

Between 100 and 80, I would highly recommend the 100. I've used both with Cougar, and the 80 is borderline too thin for my taste. It's a nice paper for sure, but for screen printing, I think 100 is easier to work with and not at all difficult to roll.

what size tube are you using? anything under three inches makes rolling problematic.

Sorry, it's an old joke i guess. You should be fine with cougar; just follow the info above. Don't roll too tightly, use a piece of newsprint to wrap the print and roll. There's tons of these threads in the archives.

If your tube is too small, you can try using the triangular mailers for USPS priority mail. They're just not the most sturdy. But they're FREEEEEEEEEE
