Default Looking for Duran Duran gig posters

    Hello,

I am a Duran Duran poster archivist in the United States, and I'm writing in the hope that someone may be able to help me find posters that I need for my collection. For over 20 years I have set about the task of documenting Duran Duran's storied career and as my inventory has grown, it has become harder to track down posters from specific concerts, especially earlier shows from the band's formative years.

I am prepared to offer generous rewards for any vintage gig or promotional posters that I need for my archive, and I would truly appreciate any assistance that can be offered -- even it means simply passing along my information to someone who might be able to help.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

    Sincerely,

    Andrew Golub

    Hey GP folks-

I know Andy. He's a good guy and the definition of a completist. Help him out if you can.

And Andy - you might want to check out expressobeans.com

Yup! I've spoke with Andy before too, really awesome dude! Point him in the right direction if you know anything. I'd say expressobeans is a good bet, Andy.

Wow. I am taken aback by this incredible, unexpected show of support. Clint and Rick, your kind words are deeply appreciated. Thanks for your cool sentiment as well, Whitt! I have submitted my registration at Expressobeans this morning, so hopefully that may lead somewhere! I wish there was a way of accessing some of the lesser-known record shops in the UK, or even people who may have been part of the scene in England during Duran's early years -- or who may have worked with any the Duran's record labels. I know it's a tall order to find those who may have been in the right place at the right time with the band's early promotion, but at this point in my hunt, all that remains are the most elusive poster prey! I believe the biggest tools in my arsenal are the sort of amazing support I've already found here, and my willingness to set significant financial compensation in place for any posters found.

Thank you again for the great encouragement. If there's ever anything that I could help you find, please let me know.

    All my best,

    Andy

Hi Caribou! A selection of my archive is visible on my website: Durandy Productions : Durandy.com -- I appreciate your interest! You will also be able to see some of the very wanted treasures on my Want List!

Switch, I do have Tara's beautiful promo - a terrific piece for sure! I have not heard of Lisa Davenport though - do you have any contact information for her? I'm intrigued! Thank you very much for taking the time to post your suggestion!
