How Long Should I Have To Wait for Purchased Prints?

Ok, there's a long thread on ExpressoBeans on the subject and I thougt I would get some perspective from some artists as well. Here's the link http://forum.expressobeans.com/viewt...p?f=32&t=46897

And here's the story.. About a year ago in late January of 2009, I purchased a 2008 subscription from Dan Grzeca. I figured it would be great that I could pick up a year's worth of prints relatively quickly since all of the work was already done at that point. So I got the first of what was to be two shipments in March or April. So now here I am in 2010 and I still haven't gotten this second sub shipment.

I'm in pretty regular contact with the artist and have been promised nearly every week since the beginning of October that "it will be in the mail this week." There have obviously been many trips to the post office since then for this artist since he puts out work pretty regularly. So I'm pretty much stuck at this point until he decides to send my shipment right? Payment was made a year ago so there's nothing Paypal can do. Anyone else have any similar situations or thoughts on the subject?

Some artists are just notoriously bad at shipping stuff (I am one of them). I have to hire someone else to do it for me.

I figured I'd add to this and say that I've been waiting since Feb 2008 for my painting from him as well. Same story - he keeps saying he's sending it, but nothing has ever been sent. Honestly, I'm a big fan of his work. It's a shame that it's kept me from buying anything of his since. Sad to say, posting here is somewhat of a last ditch effort. I've pretty much given up at this point.

I'll back up Lukin, the artist in question lied to me many many times about shipping stuff. He has no problem pumping out his artwork but for those poor few who pay him money for future shipments you become a very low priority. I had to threaten a thread like this to get my stuff last time.

I know a lot of you are Dan's friend and see a totally different guy but he treats a fair number of his collectors like crap. His EB rep is in the crapper and has turned off more than a few people from even taking the chance to buy from him.

He is full of sob stories and lies.
