Default Help with design/color of poster (work in progress)

I am working on a poster for a band and something about it feels like it needs more improvement in both design and color. So I was hoping that you, Gigposters community, could help me out by either saying "For the love of god this is terrible. Start over." or by just providing a suggestion of something I should tweak or redo or what have you. It should also be known that I wanted to just have two three colors so it would not be as expensive if I were to print it. So yeah, here she is:

I agree with using the paper as a color, but definitely use yr colors wiser. If you PM me I could color the file a little bit to show you what I mean.

It's only 2 colors as it stands. Use halftones and the white paper underneath to get the lighter blue.

lighten up on worrying about cost for now. Sometimes it's best just to go to town and have fun with it. Then back off from there. You can get some good ideas that way.
    Just a thought.

    Cool illustration though.

I like it but the name seems a bit shifted to the right as though you started to run out of space. With the overall style of the illustration this may be intentional.

What about venue and date: where do you plan on putting this?

Agee about using the paper color. Using a white paper could be cool for some highlights in certain areas. It could be used very sparingly.

The more I look at it the more I agree with myself (as usual). Some white on the great white, the sun, the clouds etc. But all of them could also use the light blue to add a bit of depth.

Yes, definitely let some of that white show through. It would be perfect for highlights on the face, spaceship, the clouds, etc. I think it will give the image a lot more impact and depth.
