I start teaching screenprinting in the fall, at The University of the Arts in Philly.

This fall it's two classes - one in the undergraduate program called "Screenprinting" - pretty straightforward, and one in the Continuing Ed program called - "Art of the Screenprinted Poster" - less about fine artiness, more about posteriness.

They will both be in Philly, both run September through December.

For the poster class I will get on here and ask people in the area to come and talk about their work if possible.

Good luck with your west coast classes john miner.

John's an awesome teacher and has been doing gig posters for years. Dave Leamon and I took his class @ 6 years ago. Mike Hammond has taken this class too if I recall correctly. Since it's a city college you're only paying a lab fee.

For anyone who wants to do gig posters or art prints a class like John's is the best you can get.

As of now I have only 11 seats left! I want them filled with gig poster artists, no lab fee just tuition, and my help the entire class time comes with the price of admission, and I have a awesome female assistant that is a total pro herself. I really would like too see more concert posters come out of my lab, sign up now!

Thank you all, I got some students from my postings here, good people all around. I encourage people to post classes, workshops, and community activities here.

Thank you Clay and all the GP folks!

Default Digital Class for Screen printers at P.C.C.!

Hello all!
I just wanted announce our winter inter-session class at Pasadena City College.
The Class is called Grcom 135, it is a class structured especially for screen printers. The class runs for six weeks from Jan. 11th to Feb. 17th, and meets Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 90 AM to noon. The Class is taught by David Cuatt, who has been working in the digital realm since the beginning and is some one who works closely with our students in screen printing. This class is taught with a real step by step approach using handouts that are always easy to understand. The class will cover fast scans, easy traps, perfect halftones, wraps, color seps, underbase, font tricks, film out put, stickers, and experimental graphics. This is all taught on mac G5's and the main programs covered will include Photoshop and Illustrator. Enroll online at Pasadena City College and get your registration date, sign up and pay. Total cost for the class is only $ 46.00! This class will fill up, so don't wait.

Thanks! (Screen printing classes will stat again in the spring, see you then!)
