Looks like about 100 other peoples work.
find ironic olde timey clip art, flip/rotate, overlay, find decorative crest/shield/border... I don't get taking clip art and doing nothing with it besides rearranging it...
Look at Tooth's or Connor's work... that is creative use of clip art/found images... combine bits, draw, frankenstein stuff together to make something entirely new... that's creative... posters like this (not singling you out) look like an option from MS Paint or something...
Okay.. I vented... but now I am going to give some advice... take a look at your piece... what has been done or added that no-one would think of or have done, is there anything here that is specifically "you"? Nothing... right? You have just taken images as they were, arranged them and made a jpeg. Get creative... add some, hand draw some stuff, cut, dismember, rearrange, stretch, tweak... etc... get creative, don't take stuff as they are, interpret it, put it out of context, mash it up if you are going use images rather than just arrange them... create something new... my advice... take a look at these to get an idea what can be done: http://www.gigposters.com/designer/1...e_Flattum.html

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful, Hate me because I'm an asshole!
Ass, Grass or Cash... No-one designs for free...

"potential" is a very subjective word.
Pick a color pallette that isn't being used by 100 other current designers as well.
Got it, thanks... I always do this when I have no objective... I don't know why but I always make cooler shit when theres a purpose...
You guys got any tips on how to get creative without a purpose? Should I just make posters for bands I listen to? I've done one poster class which turned out well....
make posters for bands that play your local bars/clubs.
xeroxed posters.
i also don't see how that poster works for thee shams. is there a connection i'm not getting? or is the band name arbitrary?
