I still geek out over drawing type and it's what got me started in this graphic arts thing long long ago. I have made up my mind to sketch something out everyday and keep myself learning this dying craft.

I picked this up yesterday: Custom Lettering of the '60s & '70s. This is one amazing resource. Just found out that there's a volume covering the '40s and '50s, too. Should be coming out this months.

My posters are hand drawn with marker - everything from the image to the font. What I do is this: Write out whatever you need on paper. Then take tracing paper and play with it until you find something that you like. Then draw it all over again.
