I can't BELIEVE someone just posted a Parsec screencap. That's the best.

First up- the sky needs to be ALIVE with stars. Right now, it's a little tepid up there. And w/ the star grouping you have, I can almost trace out the path you used to lay 'em in. If you crank up the starfield, you won't look like you put your Buffalo in a refueling cave from Parsec.

Thanks for all the input. Definitely will be tweaking the image a little bit. Probably won't jump in to screening this. Makes sense to get a better handle on creating something before figuring out the screening process. Just excited to be trying something new. My biggest problem with the image is that it feels flat. Any suggestions for creating depth?
Split fountain in the sky can create depth.

drawing in photoshop is not easy, especially if you're using a mouse. so depending on your hand drawings skills this isn't bad. woudl probably be better if you did hand draw it though.
have a couple bright stars. maybe the ground shouldn't be the exact color as the sky.
go sit in the desert for awhile...it'll come to you. or just get a subscription to arizona highways.

I'm retarded. I just noticed the buffalo in the sky.
And by retarded, I don't mean retarded. I mean autistic.

Dont listen to anyone....the "quality" of your artwork is not important (and its subjective anyway). If you want to learn to screenprint then jump in and do it. You don't need some groundbreaking art piece to begin...In fact, you are gonna flail for a little bit as you learn so who cares if the original art is crappy or awesome...your first prints, in all honesty, will be crappy (everyone has been there)....but you will gain valuable experience for the next time.
