Little help needed please..

SO I am working on this design for a poster...

though I am getting stuck where I am at right now... this is the best place to get some serious critiques and advice on the matter so here we go...




So it is at 5 colors right now (which I really didnt want to go above 4, but the hands were looking mighty plain left as red) I am trying not to go with a bunch of halftone shading, like I do in my shirt designs... but I feel the background needs some help...

what do you guys think about some sort of smoky swirls? I think it needs some sort of atmosphere... I would like to get other opinions on it before I commit to doing something intense that in the end will look like shit...

Trust your instincts. You're right the background is weak. Either leave it as a restful area but crop it more or fill it with something. Nice though.

ahh good advice... yeah the foot looked goofy to me... needs a new foot or should i try to hide the foot all together?

Hide the foot, get another background.

well there is no type for this... this is just for myself.. wasnt for any gig or anything in particular.. strictly art... thanks...

Ok ... Finally found something I enjoyed on this... I worked a few different things but nothing seemed to fit... so I took a break on it for awhile.... I came up with this loose scribbly city-scape and clouds... I may rework some of it since it was quickly done...

killed the foot.. added some more black in the bottom of the skulls...

looking for some feedback on this background idea.

maybe i should make the city scape with more loose yet mechanical straight lines... hmmm
