    Default Inc.

Quick question. Is there any legal issue setting up something like "Panda Inc." or something like that if in fact it isn't a incorporated entity. I ask because down the road I'm looking at going legit but for now I'm just trying to get all my ducks in a row.

i dont think there is an issue... but also, someone else could come along and set up panda inc., incorporating isnt like trademarking etc. Its all about is your companies name infringing on how another company does business. So if there is a local tire company called Panda Inc., and you start a laundramat called panda inc you'd be fine, but you couldnt start a lube shop called panda inc...

a lot of legal trouble. Inc. has a very exact legal definition and precise qualifications that need to be met.

Haha, I never caught that...it seemed like sometimes I'd have to do it but just now I didn't.
You'd think after 5 years I would've caught on to something like that, thanks Clay.

I think that is if you want to register your business as a corporation... however.. I am pretty sure you can name your business "inc." and not have to meet the legal criteria for being incorporated... god knows there are plenty of small businesses and shops around here with "inc." and their name and they don't qualify...
