Disrespecting the artist: Lonestar Posters lack of respect for Malleus

On January 26, 2009, Malleus Rock Art Lab sent an order to John Anderson of Lone Star Posters consisting of 30 posters for 605 Euros, plus 60 Euros shipping for a total of 665 Euros, currently equivalent to $907.00 USD. Anderson has not paid Malleus nor will he answer any correspondence.

Oh behalf of Malleus, on April 4, I started emailing and calling Anderson in regards to this unpaid invoice. To date, there have been no replies to any of my numerous messages.

A couple of weeks ago, I asked Urlo if he wished to go public with this story and he gave his blessings. In an email from Urlo on May 13, he stated “It's not a question of money, but it's the respect for our work that is missing. He's stolen posters, cause he never paid them. Like he didn't care at all about our work.”

I've dealt with John a few times and he has always been a delight to work with...maybe this is an understanding? i hope it gets worked out for both parties involved, just speaking from personal experience.

I'd be extremely surprised if John ever stiffed anyone. He's a standup guy, as almost everyone in this community will attest. John has earned the benefit of doubt. Malleus is of course reputable as well. There is obviously more to this, but it's none of my business.

Why not take the high road & just stay out of the personal business affairs of two respectable entities? You're obviously passionate about Malleus' work & feel a natural urge to defend. Believe me, these are all good people and there is more to this. By posting allegations and inflammatory comments in a public forum, you're kinda representing Malleus in a very ugly and spiteful manner. If you're really on their side, maybe you should guard their reputation a little better. I would imagine they would not resort to name-calling and pointing fingers.

Shit happens. Just because nobody's explained to you exactly how shit happens, that doesn't mean it's time to jump to conclusions.

Hi - the reason this was posted was to get attention because, as stated, there have been no replies to Malleus or myself after numerous attempts to contact....if there were some kind of "lifesign" this would not be necessary. It might be a tad harsh? But ignoring is just as harsh.

I worked with John for a good two years and never had a sinlge problem.......$900 sounds like a lot of money for 30 posters.
