Dunno if anyone else here got contacted by this "youth marketing" agency but they are a corporate ad agency/art agency from Barcelona - with a twist : they operate entirely on spec..
The way they do things is this , they search the internet for suckers , erm i mean "creatives" and build up a stable . When a job come in they email all their suckers and everyone who wants the job sends in a brief proposal.
they pick the proposals they feel have potential and then have all the suckers do final work , with a few possible rounds of revisions. Then they pitch to the client.
ONLY the sucker who did the proposal the client chooses gets paid. No kill fees , no compensation for proposals.
But never fear , the ones who made to the final rounds get "points". What does that mean? Good question but I have no idea.
And everything is glossed over with feel good talk about celebrating ceativity and giving artists and designers a place to shine.
