Default art shows in the uk-- work visas??

we're doing a few exhibits in the uk this year , neither galley mentioned it but we're wondering if we need work visas to have our prints up in a not-for-profit gallery space.

any americans or canucks who have gone over to show-- what did you do?

any uk gallerists -- what do you do when you bring international artists over?

thanks , i just sent a msg to 'em, would love to hear what they do.

right now we can only find info about performers visa , there seems to be a huge black hole when it comes to visual artists.
we're showing in newcastle in may , at the baltic. perhaps we could do something casual in brighton around that?

The Baltic is a pretty big deal. One of the best galleries i've been to, and a constant reason to head to Newcastle. I'll probably make the trip up in May for that.

oh , fyi , you DO need work visas to show @ galleries in the uk. it doesn't matter if you are being paid or not.

we learned that the hard way back in feb.

all artists need something called a tier 5 and from the looks of it they are cracking down pretty hardcore.

whoa... a simple post and so many responses and links. My apologies for not doing the search first, that was stupid of me. Thanks for all the pointers, though!
