Default posters for opening band. and venue questions.

I have read through all of the Legal Issues forum and haven't seemed to notice if this question has been asked yet, hopefully I did not miss the answer. But, I have been silkscreening for a little while now, and Have decided to do some posters for my friends band. We plan on running a small print of posters, no more than 25 or 30 posters. My question is, will I have to make sure the venue is ok with me printing these posters for my friends band, since I am doing it for them and not the venue. Also, it is likely the band will be opening for other bands. Will the other bands have to be informed since their names will be printed on the posters as well. Also, is it alright for the band to sell the posters as merch? Our plan was, to do the prints, use some for promotion around town, then try to sell the rest as merch during/after the show. I am keeping the money made off the posters, covering my expenses, then using whatever money is left to use on a line of teeshirts for the band. I am not worried about making any money right now, because they are all very close friends. They are also not profitting off this beause all money is going right back into more merch. We will discuss how that money will be distributed if we make any money to begin with. Any comments would be much appreciated, and this forum is amazing.

Ask the venue if you can make the posters, offer to give them a few for the bar staff and everything. If you're working with the band, they can sell the posters, it's just another form of merch, and shouldn't be limited becuase it's a poster for the specific event.

and, who ever pays for the posters gets their name the biggest. Are these small acts? I doubt any of them would care about their names being on a poster, most likely they'd be really happy.
