I was unaware of this, but those of you with fax machines who can act today should do so. The government votes tomorrow.....

The Government is trying to weaken Copyright protection by "Orphaning" Creative works that are not clearly marked as to who created them or holds the copyright. There is more that can be read on the linked page, but basically they are going to allow "users" who can't determine who created an image or other work to use it for free or for a capped licensing fee. Also, churches, schools, charities and other nonprofit organizations will be free from any accountability when using your art for their purposes. I say horse shit, but maybe I don't get it. Anyone care to elaborate?
