Legislation for Market Value of Donations Pending

There is a bill currently before congress to allow artists to claim fair market value for their work when they make a donation to a charitable organization. Under the current legislation when an artist donates a piece of artwork they are ONLY ALLOWED TO CLAIM THE COST OF THE MATERIALS USED.

Since so many of us have donated artwork for different causes, I thought some of you may be interested in this piece of legislation.
