    Default Online image protection

..following on from PMs thread regarding use of Images taken from GP to make buttons etc..one solution would be to protect the images on the server by use of software..products like Pickeeper..copyright images don't get cached and you can't download the images..could apply to many artist sites too..just an idea..no real experience of their use myself but maybe guru Clay does??

Yeah, that would rule. But then wouldn't have survived to amass my large web porn collection, or as I like to call it...my "spank bank". ops:

Well ... all I can say is read that link that El Negro posted.

There is NO way to stop it .. as you have to download the image to see it in your browser anyway. Everything on the web can be taken easily.. and kept by anyone.

I'm sorry ... but there isn't anything I can do about it.

Clay, you are absoulutely correct that there is nothing you can do if someone really wants to steal an image. But people may be less inclined if maybe there is a small pop-up when they roll their mouse over a poster that says something like "this image may not be downloaded, reproduced screen-captured, or used in any way without the written permission of the copyright holder."

It might not stop them, but at least then the person would know they are doing something wrong.

Just a suggestion for wording. JAG would know what to say better than I would.

Oh...and I don't mean like those annoying pop-up windows. I'm talking about just some text that appears over the image when the mouse is rolled over it.

That mysterious "Guest" thing has happened before...not even Clay knows why it happens.
