I formed an LLC. Our lawyer did it for around $200. The nice thing is I get to deduct all my equipment, printing, shipping, promo, etc. expenses.

Different strokes for different folks based on the income of your business / size of your company. You're prolly going to get varying opinions here as folks have all kinds of business / set ups / income levels.
The smartest thing to do is pay a couple hundred and consult with a tax lawyer. They'll know whats best for your specific business. We're an LLC Partnership right now. Corporations requires a ton of extra paperwork and management that goes along with it. Though we have a meeting scheduled in February to reaccess and im going to assume that we will switch over to some type of corporation (i believe s-corp is only for self employed).

i love being a Sole Proprietorship/DBA, I would recommend it for everyone. basically no paperwork and i don't pay shit for taxes, but then i have no partners too.

Here's a question:
Is a "DBA" and an "Assumed Business Name" the same thing? I just registered my assumed business name in Oregon, but now that i'm reading about DBA's....it seems like the same thing.....or do i have to do both? So confused
