poster exhibit ethics question

I've been asked to be part of a poster exhibit and i have an ethics question. is it cool to show a poster at the gallery on the 6th when the poster is for a show on the 22nd if i don't sell them at the gallery? or what if i took orders for the posters to be sold after the show?
