Book: "Street Graphics and the Law"

Is this a book people on this board are familiar with?

Authors are Mandelker and Ewald, most recent edition was 1988. Got it on Amazon. Was all I could find on topic.

It's a book about storefront signs, municipal information signs, etc. I bought it thinking it would have some material about postering, but it doesn't.

Oh wait, yes it does... It has this supposedly excellent "model ordinance" on street graphics for towns and cities to adapt and adopt. It says postering is illegal.

What other sources are out there for this stuff?

Your local city bylaws - everyone is different, although most city administrators are generally pretty lazy, so when they (or more correctly, a small group of 'citizens' - emphasis on small - most municipal bylaws are enacted not by a majority, but a minority) decide they need a law against something, they steal it from another municipality.

it's pretty much anything goes here. city is awash in every form of posters, wheatpastem murals, graff, stencils...ranging from excellent to crap to real live actual gangbanger tags.
