Default graphis annual misprint

hi all. amidst all this c.e. stuff it reminded me that i had a question. my girlfriend recently had a poster published in the 2004 graphis new talent design annual. the problem is that they printed it under someone else's name. her and i have contacted them about it and they said they may reprint a few but they still don't even have her name on their website and have the other guy listed who didn't even get printed! is there anything more we can do? thanks.

Use the mistake to your advantage as best you can. Make up a postcard with the poster on it. On the back say it was thrilling to get into Graphis, but explain the mistake...and mail them to as many current and prospective clients as you can.

This shit happens to us all the time. Usually it is correct in naming the firm but mixes or omits the people responsible. The only time it has been a major bummer has been when one of our designers got his first piece in a book and they switched the credits with another one of our pieces. It is hard to explain to your parents (who have no idea waht you really DO anyway) that the piece on page 217 is yours eventhough someone else's name is on it.

Another huge debacle was when a former employee was omitted from a piece and sent scathing messages to all of us - no matter that the same book had credited a logo of mine to another firm entirely so it was the least of my worries.

The magazines at least have arecourse and can put sometyhing in the corrections section. Even if it is one of Graphis's books they might put a note in the magazine for you.
