I bet if Death Cab will play in your basement they would also be ok with you selling a poster of said event.

Good luck on booking that event!

I wouldn't let death cab play in my basement if the world was full of shit and they had the only boat.

i hung out with those cats once at the larimer lounge randomly one night here in denver. it seemed like they were all put off because i didn't really care who they were and they kept inviting me to go with them to go do a bunch of blow. instead i stayed at the lounge and drank beer.
on a side note: is this haircut illegal?

Yes, you will get sued. You can make up as many things as you want inspired by them. You just can't use their name. All bands I know have a trademark on their name. If you use it without permission you can be sued. The penalty for doing it is 3X your income for what you sold.

Make fan art, give it to your friends and don't post it anywhere online. Do not post it here as a legit gig poster. The posters here have been commissioned by the bands or promoters with specifics permissions regarding sale or promotional use. If you want to build a portfolio of work, make friends with local bands and start small. Promote your local scene.
