Default Making posters for midnight movie series

So I've been talking to a local theater about making posters for their summer series of midnight movies.

I'm assuming there are some legal issues involved in this (especially if the posters are to be sold, as well), but I have no clue about the particulars.

only movies with talking dogs require any sort of rights acquisition mumbo jumbo.

everything else is pretty much a free for all, especially flicks with talking mouses.

do a search, tons of threads on here on the topic. what it pretty much boils down to is, selling without permission is bootlegging.

the real challenge is to design a poster that doesn't use the name of the movie at all, but is somehow instantly recognizable as a poster for that movie.
