Default Character likeness question

I'm using a drawing (not photograph) of John Goodman's character in 'The Big Lebowski' for a give away shirt at the place I work. Any info on character copyrights would be appreciated. I checked the archives but didn't see a straightfoward answer. If this really is a "gray area" let me know.
Thanks, Todd

If it's a "give away" I doubt you'll have any problems.

It is a give away, but it would still be good to know for future reference. Like if I wanted to use some other movie character in a poster or anything else.
