is having a gallery show at the D. King Gallery in Berkeley, CA.
The exhibition opens at 6pm Friday October 9th at D.King Gallery, 2284 Fulton St. Berkeley. The gallery is just 2.5 blocks from the downtown Berkeley BART station and directly across the street from the southwest corner of the UC Campus. For further information contact the gallery directly at (510) 548-1062 or visit their website at Rock Posters At D.King Gallery.
The evening will also mark the release of Conklin's highly anticipated and extremely limited large scale silkscreen print "Faces". Those who attended the Denver Art Museum's Psychedelic Experience Poster Exhibition raved about the impossibly intricate linework and stunning psychedelic imagery of the original artwork from Lee's masterpiece BG #112. Even the most seasoned poster aficionados were shocked to find a work of such complexity and maturity obscured beneath the lettering of the finished poster. At more than double the size of the original, the serigraph brings the complexity of this piece to light in all its glory. Two colorways, black on white and black on silver, will be released on the evening of the exhibition in signed numbered editions of only 50. A very small number of hand inpainted monoprints will also be available.
Come out and support the nicest guy in the business.
