    Default Renegade Craft Fair - CHICAGO - September 12 & 13, 2009

    Hey, Friends!

For all of you in the Land of Lincoln, we will once again be in town next weekend (the 12th and 13th of September) selling our goods and wares on Division street in Chicago as a part of Renegade Craft Fair.

Chicago Renegade is always a blast, so if you are in the area, and looking for something to do, please come out and say hello. It's Free and Fun!!

    Chicago Renegade Craft Fair

    More info Below!

The 7th Annual Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago will be September 12 + 13 from 11am – 7pm on Division St. between Damen Ave. and Paulina St. in Wicker Park! Ride your bike, and take advantage of the free bike valet provided courtesy of the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce!

Over 300 artists are traveling from all over the country to participate and sell their handmade goods: from clothing and accessories, to stationery and concert posters, with everything from bath-products, ceramics and housewares in between! This FREE TO ATTEND DIY craft, art and design extravaganza occurs in one of Chicago’s liveliest neighborhoods, on its busiest block!

Playing their way through the Craft Fair on Sunday at 1pm will be the brass and reed ensemble Black Bear Combo, delivering what’s sure to be a blast of a set! Drop by the Spins & Needles interactive booth and make some cool stuff while listening to funky beats. Pick from DIY projects including sock animals, paint-by-number portraits, collage drink coasters and lots more!

Other event features include free raffles of various craft publications from Chronicle Books + copies of Faythe Levine’s book Handmade Nation at the Renegade Craft Welcome Stations, free copies of TimeOut Chicago at various booths, and food and beverages for purchase from MANA Food Bar and Big Bite Catering! Beer and wine will also be available for purchase!

I should mention that I am doing this show by myself and would LOVE any helping hands I could have throughout the weekend.

Tasks would include: bringing me food and drink, and maybe watching the booth for a few while I walk and stretch legs.

of course, though i only hung out at your booth at flatstock and then walked away due to poor social skills (as i did with about everyone else i ran into)

not sure exactly when i'll be up there, but it will probably be saturday. maybe i'll pack a couple sack lunches with peanut butter and jelly and a juice box for you guys.

Me, too. The Ren Fair is just over the border in Bristol, Wisconsin. I read that that's where Andrew Bird got his start. True story.
